It’s called Jarvis, and I first discovered it on a post by Sarah Gooding on the the WP Tavern (https://wptavern.com/jarvis-a-free-quicksearch-tool-for-the-wordpress-dashboard). It’s basically a real time Google search for the WordPress Admin – hit your forward slash button, type in a few characters and you’ll get a list of relative “things” in your site you can navigate straight to immediately – love it!

In this WordPress tutorial I’ll show you how to search the WordPress Admin like a boss!

The Plugin cam be found on the WordPress Plugin Directory here:

Jarvis looks cool, but it doesn't do a full code text search. Any suggestions on plugins that will do that? For instance, I want to search on "ehw" because that something I put on my custom classes, and I want to find all my custom class implementations in HTML. But, the "Editor" section of the Appearance menu doesn't list any files with that string, though it appears on my website. What plugin will do a full WordPress file text search? I know Sublime Text has this function, but I'd like a WP solution that doesn't migrating files to peek at them. #fullTextSearch #wordpress #plugin #gotcha

DomDom, Yes. Jarvis DOES still work. I DO have to correct one part of this video's description. I created this plugin. The concept and functionality were created By Dave Everett while working at Web Development Group. Additional code contributions were from Joan Piedra and Kurtis Shaner.
